Today the Hotel is a contrast between traditional Seychelles architecture and modern facilities. Sheltered by the surrounding hills and the nearby island of Curieuse La Reserve is the ideal secluded hideaway. Two contrasting restaurants provide guests with a wide variety of choice. The Hotel structures develop around a stateoftheart pool complex with adjoining bar and lounge thatched with palm leaves. A traditionallybuilt Creole house situated within the hotel grounds and furnished with antique artifacts can be visited by our guests, along with a Tortoise Zoo, home to many giant land tortoises unique to Seychelles.

RoomsLa Reserve offers a diverse choice of beautifully appointed accommodation for its hotel guests. Scattered among tropical gardens and exotic vegetation, each room provides the ideal retreat for those who seek tranquility and relaxation. It has stylish old colonial architecture with attractive Seychelloise decor. All rooms have large four poster beds.VillaThere are 12 spacious and beautifully appointed sea facing rooms in three colonial style villas. The villas house 4 rooms each, two on the ground floor and two on the first floor.In Room AmenitiesBungalow14 individually appointed bungalows are situated around the Hotels' tropical gardens. All bungalows are detached, except for one family bungalow with connected rooms.In Room AmenitiesSuiteThere are four luxury, sea front suites. All with sitting rooms and large private verandahs directly overlooking the bay.Suite Amenitieslarge bathrooms with shower air conditioning ceiling fan tea/coffee maker, mini bar, mini safe, hair dryer and iron/boardPoolLa Reserve boasts the largest swimming pool in the entire Seychelles. It encompasses everything a pool should have. A children's pool area, a pool designed for elderly people, a lounge and bar in the middle of the pool and an area for experienced swimmers to do lengths. Two foot bridges cross over the pool and the feature buildings are thatched with palm leaves.Restaurant & BarLa Reserve has two restaurants and two bars. American Breakfast and dinner are served at the Jetty Restaurant, a covered jetty expanding outwards onto the sea.Jetty Restaurant and Main BarAmerican Breakfast and Dinner are served at the 'Jetty Restaurant'. In the morning an American Buffet Breakfast is served between 08.00 hrs and 10.00 hrs. Exotic fruit and freshly baked bread and pastry from the hotel's own bakery are served daily or simply try a traditional cooked English breakfast. In the evening the Jetty is romantically lit with candlelight. Dinner is served between 19.30 hrs and last orders 21.30 hrs. A wide range of gourmet food is served including Creole, Mediterranean and Seafood.The main bar is well stocked with a fine selection of liquors, wines and local brews. Enjoy a tropical cocktail made inside a "coco rouge" coconut or simply a chilled glass of champagne then sit back and relax. The main bar offers a drink and snack service to guests using the hotels private beach from 10.00 hrs until 17.00 hrs. A bar tender will take orders on the hour and half hour. Pool Grill & Williams BarThe Pool Grill is situated at the hotel's magnificent new swimming pool. At lunchtime you can sample fresh fish or succulent meat expertly grilled in the open air by the Hotel's chefs. Grills are accompanied by mouth watering freshly prepared salads. Lunch is served from 12.30 hrs until 15.30 hours. Situated in the middle of the pool is a bar and lounge. You can swim up to the bar directly from the pool or walk over the ornamental footbridge into the lounge. Fresh fruit juice and assorted home made icecream is available here.Local DancingThe hotel has its own dance troupe, which perform every Tuesday in the main restaurant. Here they dance for the guests and invite them to participate in the different dances. The two famous dances are the Sega and the Moutia. The Sega shows the rhythm of the Seychellois it's very quick with dancers shaking their hips with a partner or on their own. The Moutia was inherited from African slaves who expressed their pain and suffering through this dance. Its motions are erotic even though dancers are not allowed body contact whilst dancing. The dance is traditionally performed around a large fire.Tropical BandsThe hotel provides an abundance of different bands for the guests' entertainment all with their own unique style. A "Kamtole" band plays every Tuesday. This band plays traditional folk dancing music as well as Sega. Well known local artist "George Payet" performs love songs and dance music on Thursdays and Saturdays for the Honeymooners.Marine ParkLa Reserve is the only Hotel on Praslin situated in a Marine Park. Free entrance for La Reserve guests. Hotel guests can enjoy the snorkeling in the bay thanks to the abundance of fish living in the the Marine Park. All kinds of Marine life exist here including regular visits to the bay from turtles. Virtually all fishing is prohibited within the Marine National Park and all corals, shells and other marine life are protected. Anchorage is not permitted in certain zones and although swimming, snorkeling and sailing are allowed, they are carefully monitored.
